Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
The Deer Park Band is a successful program because of our volunteers!
There are a variety of ways to assist the band, we need volunteers for: hospitality, chaperones, prop crew, photography, sewing, nursing, and much more. No experience is required, and volunteers always get the best seats in the house! Please consider lending a hand.
Seam Team
Our Seam Team is the crew that gets over 270 students looking their best on the field! From sizing to handing out plumes, this team is so rewarding to be a part of! Interested in joining?

Prop Crew
Be a part of the excitement during games and competitions! Our Prop Team helps construct and move equipment. This is a great team to join to see what it’s like putting a show on the field!

Hydro-Team
The Hyrdro Team plays a crucial part in making sure that performers remain well-hydrated during rehearsals. We prepare water and Gatorade for members during afterschool rehearsals. This is one of the most important roles for the safety of our students!
To volunteer:
Hospitality
Band students eat! The Deer Park High School Band gets fed before every game and competition. Volunteers are needed to assist in serving food and cleaning up. These are our most beloved volunteers!
To volunteer:
Photography
Photographers are needed at every band event to capture the special moments. These volunteers have an "All Access" pass to the band. The photos taken are uploaded onto the Band Smugmug page, where the pictures are available to parents at no cost!

As seen higher up on this page, the Band has a variety of opportunities to volunteer, but we do have four (4) areas that are very important to Marching Season:
Fundraising: Our biggest fundraiser is our concession stand sales. Volunteers are needed for every home game in the late after noon/evening. This role helps keep membership cost down for our students. It is also a great way meet fellow booster parents and get involved in the band community!
Hospitality: These volunteers assist in distributing food for the Band before football games. Volunteers are needed in the late afternoon in the DPHS Performing Arts Center before the students board the busses. This is an easy and fun way to get involved!
Seam Team: Our Seam Team also known as uniform parents are volunteers who work to maintain, organize and fit students into their marching uniform and costumes. This role includes making minor alterations to uniform, distributing and collecting plumes during competitions, and sizing our members pre-marching season.
Prop Crew: This is an essential job in the Band. On game & competition days, these volunteers are responsible for the loading & delivery of the band’s instruments and show props. Volunteers also help to move & maneuver instruments and props onto the field. This job truly gets a front-row view of the Band! The Prop Crew also develops & builds the show props.
